Dear Lord

The loss of a child, parent, partner or friend is very hard to bear.

We feel we cannot cope but know we have to. You only ask us to live one day at a time and we know that you will give us sufficient strength for that day. Help us always to remember this.

May we, with your help, support those who are bereaved, helping them through each day.

We bring before you today those who have lost relatives and friends as a result of cancer especially those who have lost their only relative or friend.

Give strength to those who work with the dying and bereaved and be with those who remain. May they find comfort in your love, which constantly surrounds them.
